Tonic are searching for a Sous Chef for our client’s soon to open business and industry, contract catering site in Birmingham City Centre. Our client provides a fresh food service, serving seasonal and innovative food to a Rosette standard for approximately 500 delegates per.day. The successful sous chef will have their finger on the pulse of what is on-trend, and they will know how to deliver delicious, nutritious meals to large numbers. This business is part of a large independent group that puts quality at the forefront of everything they do. We ideally want the sous chef here to be knowledgeable and passionate about plant-based cuisine, however, this is not essential.
As Sous Chef of this fantastic site, you can expect –
·Cooking breakfast and lunch and occasional evening meals, based on a 45-hour contract. A degree of flexibility will be required to cater to the business needs. Working hours are some of the best you’ll find in catering. The role will be Monday – Friday.

The successful sous chef will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills as you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen and management of the brigade in the absence of the head chef. We are looking for a driven Sous Chef with sound knowledge, clear focus and true passion. This site is a brand new build so you will have a fantastic new kitchen to call your own, this site goes live later this year but we have started to look now because we want the very best!
