Last year, we paid a visit to Birmingham Children’s Hospital with the intention of offering our support in some way. Witnessing the resilience of the young patients and the exceptional dedication of the hospital staff deeply moved us. This experience inspired us to not only raise funds through our ‘Dine and Donate’ initiative for the charity but also to take on a significant physical challenge.

On the 13th of April, both teams Tonic Talent and Clements and Church will kick off the ‘100K in a Day’ challenge, a remarkable overnight 100-kilometre walk from Birmingham Children’s Hospital to Worcester and back by the morning of the 14th.

Tonic Talent MD, Conrad Brunton said – “After an incredibly moving visit to the Children’s Hospital we decided to create the Dine and Donate initiative, enlisting the help of the amazing hospitality community here in Birmingham. However, it was important to me that there was also a test of endurance in some way. I’m not much of a runner, I didn’t think anyone would donate to watch me do an all-you-can-eat buffet, so a walking challenge made perfect sense. A while back when we started our training, it dawned on us just how hard this is going to be but now we have had a taste of what to expect we are really psyched to do this next Saturday. I’m hopeful this challenge will provide Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust with another injection of much-needed funds.”
