Salary: £21,000-23,000 per annum plus tips (£3k/year)

Tonic are searching for a Pastry Chef for our client’s fine dining restaurant business in Birmingham city centre. The food style is modern and the owner wants to push for further accolades. The twist here is that the restaurant is vegetarian and vegan exclusively. The ideal candidate will have a natural passion and flair for pastry and will have experience of running a busy pastry section to at least two rosette level.

Desirable qualities in pastry chef applicants at this level will include;
  • 3 or more year’s experience in a professional kitchen or an NVQ or equivalent level pastry qualification
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety and Food Safety legislation
  • Drive, ambition and commitment to your career, candidates who see the long-term opportunity in this business will get there the quickest
  • 2 Rosette experience is desirable
