Salary: £22,000-28,000 plus tips

Tonic are recruiting for a Sous Chef for our client’s quality, fresh food cafe business in Birmingham. The food style is modern and the owner wants to really raise the bar. The ideal candidate will have a natural passion and flair for food and will have some experience of running all sections in a busy FRESH FOOD kitchen – ie all sauces made from scratch, homemade stock, baking, butchery and fish prep skills are ESSENTIAL.

Desirable qualities in Sous Chef applicants at this level will include;
  • 3 or more year’s experience in a professional, fresh food kitchen and an NVQ or equivalent level 3 qualification
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety and Food Safety legislation
