Tonic are assisting our client’s search for a chef to join their contract catering team. The level of the role will depend upon the person we find, however, we are looking for someone of a chef de partie / sous chef level ideally. This is a small brigade, cooking for the employees and directors of a business Monday – Friday, located in Solihull, Birmingham. This role is really something different to the normal contract catering businesses which we work with, this is a stand-alone business with incredibly strong financial backing.
The package for the successful chef de partie / sous chef is –
- £30,000-35,000 per. annum plus annual bonus
- Working hours are Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm (very occasional evenings)
- Free parking & meals on duty

What are our clients looking for in the successful chef de partie / sous chef candidate?
- A real passion for food, cooking, fresh organic produce and seasonality
- Experience within kitchens of a minimum 3 rosette / 1 star Michelin rating
- A diverse skill set, you must be able to work all sections of the kitchen, bake bread, prep fish, butcher meat and create delicious dishes without following a spec
- Someone with a friendly personality is a must, this is a small brigade who work closely together and interact daily with their guests (employees and directors)
