Recruitment Consultant

Steph is an experienced recruitment consultant who has developed knowledge of many areas in the hospitality sector with a specialism in Contract Catering.

With a career built on hard work and a passion for hospitality, Steph began her journey at the age of 10 by starting her own gardening business, which she ran until she was 16. She then pursued her passion for Floristry, turning it into a successful business.

Steph’s first experience in hospitality came at the age of 14 when she worked weekends at a Garden Centre Café and a local country pub. This early exposure ignited a long-term passion, leading her to her first full-time role at The Duncombe Arms in Derbyshire, a 2AA Rosette and Bib Gourmand establishment. Over the years, she progressed from Restaurant Supervisor to Senior Assistant Manager, developing a strong expertise in managing high-end service environments.

After relocating to Birmingham in 2019, Steph deepened her knowledge of fine dining and wine service as a Sommelier at Hampton Manor until May 2021. She then transitioned into hospitality recruitment as a Resourcer, quickly advancing to Talent Delivery Consultant, specialising in Contract Catering. Over the past three years, Steph has focused on building strong client relationships and delivering tailored recruitment solutions. 

Outside of work, Steph is a passionate gardener; she is currently renovating her garden. She enjoys crocheting, attending football matches (she is a lifelong Stoke City fan, though she now regularly attends Aston Villa games with her partner), exploring street food and comedy nights at Herberts Yard in Longbridge. Steph loves foraging and has recently made blackberry jam and elderberry cordial from foraged ingredients.
