** TEN PERCENT CHANCE **

Hospitality is being squeezed, and the VAT system is quietly making it worse.

Ten Percent Chance, launched by Claire Bosi, is calling for a simple, targeted fix: a 10% VAT credit on qualifying food purchase costs for VAT-registered hospitality businesses (cafés, restaurants, pubs, hotels, catering). No change to the headline VAT rate – just practical relief that helps operators where it actually hurts.

Here’s why this matters — and why it’s a smart, realistic move:

* Helps venues stay open (and keep prices fair) when food costs are rising
* Protects UK food supply chains
* Builds on what we already know works (hospitality VAT relief was used in 2020–22)
* No extra paperwork: it’s based on invoices you already get from suppliers – it would be claimed through the normal VAT return

Whether you run a venue, work in one, or simply love having great local places to eat and meet – add your name to the petition and share it with someone who will too.
