Tonic are recruiting a Head Chef for one of our client’s just outside of Birmingham. We are looking for an ambitious and imaginative Head Chef – this could be an opportunity for someone who has been looking to put their stamp somewhere where it will be noticed and maybe move into their first Head Chef role. Our client is currently developing the menus focusing on fresh bread, pastry, pizzas and a seasonal menu. Alongside the restaurant, they have various concessions, including grab and go and a successful conference offering. The ideal Head Chef must have experience in a customer/client-facing role with a true passion for sourcing local ingredients, creating menus and sustainability.

Essential qualities for Head Chef applicants to be considered:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience within fresh food restaurants, hotels or gastropubs
  • An expert knowledge/passion for ingredients, food trends, flavours, and food design
  • A real team leader, who enjoys motivating and developing others around them
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
