Tom is an experienced recruitment consultant who has developed an expert knowledge of many areas of the sector, including Hotels, Venues and Contract Catering.
Having a true passion for hospitality, Tom’s journey into the industry began at 19 as a part-time bartender. From there he progressed into management positions and on to Fairlawns Hotel and Spa, where he served as the Banqueting Manager, supporting the wider hotel operation and their two Rosette restaurant.
During his time at Fairlawns, Tom was selected for the Master Innholders Aspiring Leaders Diploma (MIALD), a development programme for aspiring managers. This allowed him to build his knowledge and experience across all departments whilst visiting some of the leading hotels in the UK. The program, aligned with the Institute of Leadership & Management Level 3 award, covered various aspects of the business, including marketing, sales, and finance.
Having transitioned into the recruitment sector, Tom has spent many years developing his knowledge and understanding of team structures, individual roles and their responsibilities. Having worked alongside and partnered with clients in nearly all areas of the Hospitality sector, Tom is well-positioned to support both candidates and clients.
Outside of work, he is an avid football (AVFC) and boxing fan and enjoys spending time with his family, Becky, and their young daughter, Gracie.
