Tonic are searching for Bartenders to join Brock’s, University College Birmingham’s new neighbourhood restaurant and bar in Harborne. Brock’s is a commercial site. It is not a training site and you will not be teaching. The bar matters here. It trades right through the afternoon between services as well as alongside the food, so you will pour, mix and host across a full day rather than only working the evening rush. The list is being written from scratch by a Bar Manager who takes it seriously, and you will be trained on it properly. The site closes Monday and Tuesday, so you get the same two consecutive days off every week.

What are we looking for from Bartender candidates?

• Bar experience in a quality-led bar, restaurant or pub
• Able to make drinks to spec, consistently, through a full service
• Good with guests, and comfortable holding a room through a quieter afternoon as well as a full evening
• Willing to learn a new list properly and stick to the specs
• Tidy, organised and quick to reset between services
• Available Wednesday to Sunday, including evenings and the Sunday daytime service
