Tonic are pleased to partner with our client to recruit a Cafe Manager for their independent site in Stamford. This is a busy, coffee-led operation with high standards on the counter and a loyal local following. You will run the site day to day, lead a team of six on shift and hold the standard through peak weekend trade. The business has real growth plans and you will be part of building towards them, tightening the systems, developing the team and getting the operation ready for the next stage. What are we looking for from Cafe Manager candidates?
Experience managing or deputising in a cafe, coffee shop, bakery or independent food and beverage site
Strong hands on barista skills, you will be setting the benchmark for the team, not just supervising it
Experience leading a team of six or more on shift
Confident with stock forecasting, ordering, cash handling and end of day reconciliation
Comfortable in a business that is growing and changing
Warm, genuine service style that suits an independent, and the appetite to build relationships with regulars and the wider Stamford community
Level 2 Food Safety as a minimum, with a solid grip on allergen management and due diligence records
Available for weekend work
