Tonic are looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join the team at our client’s fresh-food gastro pub in Burton-on-Trent. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef, contributing to the creation and delivery of the modern, ingredient led dishes. If you’re a dedicated chef with a passion for high-quality ingredients and innovative cooking, we’d love to hear from you.

What are we looking for in the successful Sous Chef? 

  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a busy fresh food kitchen
  • Confidence and competence across all sections within the kitchen
  • A positive ‘can-do’ attitude coupled with drive and enthusiasm to be the best you can be
  • A passion for food and cooking that is infectious, inspiring others to improve 
  • Proactive, flexible and adaptable, with great attention to detail
  • Good length of service and loyalty shown to previous employers
