Tonic are pleased to partner with our client to recruit a Business Development Manager for their premium restaurant in Birmingham city centre. This is an elevated, immersive dining concept that has built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional guest experiences. As BDM, you will own the commercial pipeline, from building relationships with corporate bookers and events agencies to generating bespoke private dining experiences that bring the venue’s vision to life. This is a role for someone who blends genuine sales acumen with the warmth and presence to represent the brand at the highest level.

What are we looking for from Business Development Manager candidates?

  • Proven BDM or senior sales experience within premium hospitality, ideally restaurants, private dining or high-end events
  • Track record of developing and converting corporate accounts and agency relationships
  • Confident working with reservations and events management platforms, SevenRooms experience advantageous
  • Strong understanding of the Birmingham corporate and events market
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team, setting standards and bringing out individual potential
  • Creative approach to event concept and proposal development
  • Commercially sharp, comfortable with competitor analysis and identifying new revenue opportunities
  • Calm and composed when managing high-volume service periods and complex bookings
  • Genuine ambassador qualities, this person will represent the brand externally as much as internally
