Tonic are pleased to partner with our client to recruit a General Manager for a brand-new, genuinely different leisure venue in Birmingham. This is a site built for more than one thing: sport, food, music and events all under one roof, sitting in one of the city’s most creative neighbourhoods. As General Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the venue, shaping the food and beverage concept, driving the events programme and building real relationships within the local community to make this a genuine neighbourhood destination. It’s a rare first-GM opportunity with a blank canvas and serious backing, ideal for someone who wants to build rather than maintain.

What are we looking for from General Manager candidates?

• Proven General Manager experience in a multi-faceted leisure, hospitality or entertainment venue
• A background in varied food and beverage operations, comfortable shaping a concept rather than just running one
• Strong events experience, confident programming and delivering a varied calendar
• A natural community builder who can turn a venue into a genuine local hub
• Commercially sharp, comfortable owning P&L, GP and cost control
• A hands-on leader who thrives on building something new rather than inheriting an established operation
