Tonic are pleased to partner with our client to recruit a Head Chef for their busy gastro pub known for genuine fresh food menus! This is a stable, well-run site with a settled team already in place and strong, consistent trade across the week. You’ll be running a kitchen that does real numbers, from 200 covers at Sunday lunch, strong Saturdays and a solid midweek trade, with fresh food at the heart of the offer. This is a role for a Head Chef who wants a proper working rhythm, sensible hours, a genuine rota structure and a team worth inheriting, not a kitchen you have to build from scratch.

What are we looking for from Head Chef candidates?

• Proven Head Chef experience in a gastro pub or quality-led, fresh food environment
• Strong cooking background; sauces, prep and butchery skills all count
• Comfortable running a full service day from lunch through to dinner, 7 days a week
• Strong organisational skills, able to plan and staff for a fluctuating weekly cover pattern
• A competent chef who can maintain standards
• CV showing loyalty and stability with previous employers
